Fire Station 36 Open House
Saturday, October 25th, 10 am – 3 pm
Fall is upon us and with it, fire season becomes top of mind. It’s a great time to be proactive to better secure your home from a devastating fire. Go to our site at opfsc.org and sign up for a home hardening assessment sponsored by the Oak Park Fire Safe Council. You will get recommendations on how to help protect your home, family and neighbors from fire damage to your home. There is no obligation for you to make any changes to your home, and no record of your assessment goes to anyone else, but at least you will be informed. Even if you do nothing but properly install ember resistant vent mesh on your home, it could make all the difference.
The Oak Park Fire Safe Council’s mission is designed to educate, make Oak Park into a Firewise recognized community and work with Rancho Simi to keep the surrounding public land free from fire fuel based debris.
We are a small group of volunteers and are always looking for like minded residents to join our efforts. Please reach out to lori.g@opfsc.org or john.f@opfsc.org for more information.
We are excited to announce the return of the annual Ventura County Supervisor’s Open House taking place at Station 36 in Oak Park on Saturday, October 25th from 10 am to 3pm. Your Oak Park Fire Safe Council will be in attendance.
Please stop by our booth to say hello!

Bring the kids, the goats will be at the event again this year!
