Before the rainy season is wildfire season. The Oak Park Fire Safe Council wants you to do some basic things to your home that can make a difference in keeping you and your family safer from wildfires.
5 Things you can do TODAY
to prepare for this year’s fire season:
Clear your rain gutters
Remove all flammable debris from your roof
Don’t store flammable items near your house
Remove dead/dying vegetation adjacent to your house
Seal/Paint structural openings to protect from embers
Small things can make a big difference.
